View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day

Good Morning! Back to the grind and routine, I tend to be on auto pilot for my pre-dinner meals\snacks during the week days, it’s just easier that way. It’s not a lot of variety but they taste good, I don’t have to stress over calories and I don’t mind. The weekends I have more time to play around and be creative, then I slowly incorporate those items into my weekly dinners. I think my biggest problem right now is eating more fat…I know, it sounds crazy, eat more fat to loose weight but YES. I was averaging about 35g but I seem to do better with weight loss if I consume between 41-44g of (good) fat, I tend to feel better and lose ounces…weird I know. :cross2:

So my main problem is that my stomach can’t tolerate beef, and I only like chicken breast; so my diet consists of chicken\turkey breast, fish and the occasional pork (also preferring white meat). I recently switched my milk from skim to 2% (regular 3.25% is too heavy) and have tried to disguise chicken thighs in marinades but I can still taste and feel the oil. It’s new and a work in progress, but I am struggling with this a bit…I’ve been chopping dry, unsalted macadamia nuts and sprinkling them on my food (like you would seasoning) to add in some good fats. They are like 24g of fat per 32g serving and 230 Calories, 2g of protein and 0 sodium. So I take 16g, chop them into fine pieces to get 12g; the problem is, I need to have 115 calories available. This is why planning and logging my meals the night before is so important for me. :help:

I didn’t get to the gym at all this weekend, I did something to my right knee Saturday; it swelled up and became very tight.:bang::bang::bang: I wrapped and elevated it, sleeping with a brace on; today it’s a little better but still feels a little spongy. Better safe than sorry. Tomorrow is my weigh-in and measurements with Elle… I’m holding at 207 lbs 2 oz so I’m happy with that. :rock1::thumbu2::clap: All in all, I have made progress, regardless of the number that shows up tomorrow on the scale, my clothes fit differently, I can move easier and I have more energy. I would like to see at least 5 inches lost, that would be 12 ½ inches since I started. :thumbu2:

The quote that spoke to me today…
“Motivation is what gets your started. Habit is what keeps you going.” ~ Jim Rohn

I hope we all meet our goals today and set new ones tomorrow!

Have a great day everyone!
