Good morning! I am so happy to be back to a set schedule and routine as crazy as it may be, it forces me to prepare ahead of time and stay on track better. Yesterday started with all good intentions but due to some uncooperative fowl dinner was a bit risky and I’m paying the piper today. :cross3:

Last night was supposed to be BBQ butterflied Cornish hens but when I went to cut the back bone out they were still frozen. After a full day at the mall trying to hunt down the best price on the progressive bifocals I now need and getting home at 5:15 to cook and finding my dinner still frozen, we decided to order out. I had like 892 calories left because I was supposed to meet up with a friend while at the mall for lunch but she had an emergency and cancelled, if grossly underestimated the length of time the glasses thing would take and well didn’t eat. :sad3:

Because I had so many calories available, I decided to give the hubby a break from my restrictions and told him we can order from anywhere…pizza was his choice. I ordered a large thin crust pizza with peppers, onions (mushrooms on half) all not sauteed to avoid extra oil and of course I weighed the slices and I ate two slices with a glass of 2% milk. I still hit my calories but my sodium was 2,375, almost double than what I should consume daily and my weight was 203 lbs 2 oz this morning. :n::n:

Last night I could tell I had too much sodium, I could feel it in my lips and tried flushing with water but it just wasn’t enough. Oddly I’m not upset or bothered by the gain; it’s a couple of ounces and probably water weight. The pizza was fabulous, they make the crust so thin and crispy it’s almost like having pizza on a cracker and the dough is infused with rosemary and thyme too...delicious. I just wish I remembered to ask for the whole wheat pizza…totally forgot. So tonight I will prep the chicken and my husband will either cook it tonight or tomorrow on the grill…I have appointments M-TH after work.

Oh and my glasses…well, they take some getting used to. They mess with my vertigo a little, OK...a lot; everything seems a little slanted to the right or tilted forward when I’m looking at stationary objects such as the ground or a counter and I get a little nauseous but I’m this goes away. I do love that my world is now in 3D, I didn’t realize I was seeing things in 2D before. Because of my depth perception I guess; the glasses have the premium polarized lenses and I could actually see the depth or the layers of trees…it reminded me of a children’s popup book where pieces overlap to create a dimensional view. I can actually see single leaves dancing in the wind on full tree branches and single blades of grass from afar, everything is so crisp and clear, it is amazing. You would think I was blind but honestly my script isn’t that bad, I’m near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other (have always had issues with depth perception) macular pucker (wrinkle in the retina) and bilateral degeneration of the lining of my eye (they say this doesn’t affect my vision).

These glasses weren’t cheap either, and with the sale I decided to splurge and treat myself to my first ever pair of prescription sun glasses. I got the premium polarized lenses in them too but they take about 10 days to come in, with the sale these were only $125 more but the entire order came to just over $900..but not bad for two pair. Seriously though, it was all the lenses, my regular frames; although Coach, were from the clearance rack and cost a whopping $99, the sunglasses were also on sale at $ 125, the BIG sale was for the lenses. I wear sunglasses every day and since the glasses will help help me read street signs when driving, I opted for the prescription sunglasses too. This was the cheapest I found in all four of the optical stores I shopped at yesterday. :cross2::cross2:

Well that’s it, the best laid plans sometimes fall apart as mine did yesterday but today is a new day; I’m back in the driver’s seat and I’m OK.

I have two quotes today that spoke to me for different reasons.=D

“Habit simplifies our movements, makes them accurate, and diminishes fatigue.” ~ William James

“The key to happiness is realizing that it is not what happens to you that matters, it is how you choose to respond.” ~ Keith D. Harrell

Hope we all meet our daily goals and set new ones for tomorrow

Have a great day!:wave1:
