View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day
Good morning! I couldn't sleep last night even though I was tired, I had to take a Benadryl at 1:30 am in order to sleep. I'm feeling a little groggy this morning and have a full day ahead of me including the GI doctor and training tonight. The dentist visit was a success, he was able to grind down the tooth so the chip wasn't noticeable because the tooth was slightly longer than the other. My smile even looks better, I wish I would have thought to do that years ago, I was always self conscious about it being slightly longer. I go back for the crown in a few weeks. I bought crest white strips to try and reverse some of the dis coloring caused by all those years I used to smoke before I get the crown. I'm losing weight, getting healthy and getting a better smile.
I went to pick up the crib last night and in conversation referred to myself as "The Fat Chick" and my coworker said "oh no, you are not fat, you look amazing." I wouldn't say amazing but I do feel better and it was nice to hear such a positive compliment. I guess in my mind I will always be the fat chick. I still have quite a bit to go but I do feel great. Weighed in this morning at 196 lbs 2 oz so I'm going down little by little.
I'm looking forward to clothes shopping this weekend with my niece, I need pants too.
Not much else to report this morning so tata for now.
Update..........
UGH! Trying to get to work and I was late because of a gaggle of parents putting their kids on the bus! Don't get me wrong I understand it's the first day of school and your excited, sad and maybe your child is nervous but 15 minutes at one stop is crazy! The traffic was backup down the road, 15 -20 cars easily each way, the kids will probably be late. They were getting on and off the bus and standing on the bus steps...seriously people, no regard for anyone else! That poor bus driver! It amazes me how people can be so self absorbed! There is another house down the street from this stop where a guy waits for the bus before coming outside in his pajamas, sauntering down the driveway at a snails pace and he too hangs out at the bus. It's hit or miss and I do get it, I mean I have kids, I remember, but I also remember I tried to be conscious of the time and courteous to others.
Ok, now I'm done complaining, time to get some actual work done!
Have a great day!

I taught school for 34 years-- and all those mornings going to work -- I would purposely go to work 30 minutes early just so I did NOT have to get behind the school buses. When I read your account of sitting in traffic and the bus stops - I had to remember all those commutes before dawn --
I hope the driving is not too bad in your town.
And yes-- your weight is improving -- and I know you are becoming more healthy. Think of yourself as a "work in progress"!!
Keep on Keeping on!! Hooray!
Celebrate little successes!
