Hello, hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day! I ended up spending the night at Moms house with my niece and the kids and just got back, it was bitter sweet. I took my great niece/goddaughter school clothes shopping last night, the poor kid is on like 4 ft 2 in and we had a hell of time but in the end Aero Pastel saved the day, she found 75% of what she needed there and the whole store was already 50-60% off and I had another coupon for an additional 25% off...so we did ok. We hit famous footware for her shoes (size 2 shoes for a 14 yr old are hard to find), a couple if other stores including Walmart.

She had 10 bags and said she felt like one of those girls from the movies who are shopping with all their bags, their hair blowing in the wind...it was funny. We went to P.F. Changs for dinner, splitting vegetable dumplings, California rolls, chicken low mien and Oolong tea Chilean sea bass with spinach, there were plenty if left overs and because it's family style for sharing she took the left overs home for her mom and siblings. So everyone enjoyed PF Changs last night. We shopped until we dropped from 3pm and finally arriving back at the house at 11:45pm. We were beat and she was excited! She is a freshman this year and well it's hard enough being in high school without the added self consciousness if knowing you shop in the little girls section. Now she feels more confident, with age appropriate clothing and is rock this school year. I was happy to help! We were up until 4am laughing and reminiscing about great times with my parents, looking through old photo albums and just enjoying each other's company. It was great for all of us.

So I weighed in when I got home this afternoon and was fully dressed and only up 1 lb...so I guess my preventative measures yesterday paid off :-) Awesome!!!

Well gotta go, have to find something to make my hubby for dinner :-)
