View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day
Good morning. I got stuck in the rain last night helping my future son in law who broke down on his was to pick up the grand baby. My husband stayed home with the baby because he had already consumed two corona's and the baby was sleeping. We originally thought he only ran out if gas but the truck wouldn't turn over, so I took him to my daughters work to pick up her vehicle so he could go back and work on the truck and pick up the baby later. Anyway, I woke up with a sore throat and a little cough.
We had such a great day yesterday, I got the baby to let me put shoes on him, so I bought him 2 pair of converse (apparently he's a converse kid, only kind he'll wear) so his first pair of shoes (that he won't rip off) are converse. We also went to a town flea market/antique sale at the lake park and I bought an antique child's rocking chair/convertible high chair. It's so cool, I looked it up online and it's from the 1900's, it has cast iron wheels/rollers and braces, hand carved wood, scratches and all of it's glorious character. It somehow made feel like it was something my mom probably used as a child since she was born in 1929. He sat in it and his face lit up, the guy wanted $90 for it but I only had $50 on me and he said it was mine...so I seat belted it upside down in my front passenger seat of my little Honda civic to get it home. The baby was playing in it all night.
My house is almost 200 yrs old and my dining room (we don't use it for dining) currently has a L shape desk which is coming out to be replaced with an area rug and made into a play area for the baby...complete with baby play yard gate. I will leave my big red chair there for reading but I think it will work well. This is my project for today, reorganizing the house. Maybe I'll feel better as I move more.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
