It's a beautiful day outside today. We have the grand baby today, when he arrived this morning it was a little chilly so he was dressed appropriately but it warmed up quickly; he only had heavy pants and long sleeve shirts so we took him to Walmart to buy an outfit. There were no boys t-shirts to be found and I drew the line at buying girls shorts so I bought him a pair of light track pants and a t-shirt with a button up combo, just put him in the shirt. We stopped by the toy isle to find something age appropriate since all his toys at my house are for younger babies...he picked a train with balls, he likes to push it, listen to the choo-choo and watch the balls pop out of the stack. We also bought a gate, it's actually a dog gate with a small door at the bottom for the cats to pass through...it's really to keep him contained and away from the litter box, we run interference now.

My husband and I played with him for a few hours and now both my guys are listening to the baby's Zen CDs and taking naps...my husband was watching baseball but it put him to sleep too! It's so quiet right now, even my Grandpuppies (two chihuahua's who I am watching for a while) are in the kitchen sleeping. It's just me and one cat stirring and even she is more relaxed. Roxy the cat is in the window basking I the sun.

So I had another ah-ha moment today, I was getting getting out of the shower this morning and realized my towel now wraps around me and covers my body...it's been forever since that's happened! It felt pretty darn good! My clothes don't pinch and are loose, it feels nice, relaxed.

Things are still bad but either I'm coping better or Maybe I'm getting numb. I don't know but I know this is the calm before the storm. I guess I have to enjoy the reprieve while it lasts.
