View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day
Ok I don't normally get excited about food, funny cause I was sooooo overweight but yet I ate just to eat because if not our bodies die, not to enjoy or savor. Anyway, our grill died, my husband tried to rebuild the inner parts again but it was a lost cause. We hit the consumer reports magazine and went grill shopping. He found a infrared technology grill that was on clearance and had extremely high rankings in the report. Let me tell you, I cooked up a slab of Louisiana baby back ribs that were the sexiest, succulent, fall off the bone ribs I've ever had in my entire life. I ate three! I highly recommend the infrared technology to anyone who is looking to replace their grill for next season. We are excited to use it again and I have a feeling we'll be grilling way past out normal season this year because yeah I was that damn good!
I'm up two pounds, maybe water, maybe the ribs...doesn't matter ,it will come off again and I actually savored every morsel I ate, something I don't recall ever doing before. I also found I was full faster my three small ribs, salad and a handful of French fries (yes French fries) no salt...just black pepper. It filled me quicker than usual and I have to wonder if it was due to the fact that I took the time to taste it, so it satisfies both my hunger and my mind. It was definitely a different feeling last night after eating and I have to wonder if that was what normal weight people experience.
Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better today as well, just tired but definitely feeling better.
Have a good day!

According to my doctor it takes 20 minutes for our brain to realize that the stomach is "full" and you're no longer hungry. I have a difficult time eating slowly even though I do love food and cooking. I do find though that I realize I'm full better if I eat more slowly. I've always joked with my mom because she does eat slowly. She read an article years ago about why French women are skinnier and one of the reasons is that they eat more slowly. So when I'm done and she still has a full plate we joke that she's in France
