Good morning all! I'm feeling better today with the exception of some pain in the left ear so I may be back at the doctor this week. The Grandbaby is also doing much better.
Yesterday was a difficult day, I was a bit down and stressed by every aspect of my life but I made conscious decisions regarding food and did really well. I think part of it was I knew what I was having for dinner sausage peppers and onions on a whole wheat roll with baked sweet potato fries, so I had a nice salad with grilled chicken and grapes for lunch, an apple and a pear for my snacks. I felt comfortable eating my dinner and didn't even finish all of it. There is some progress being made here.
I did something different yesterday to boost my mood, I wrote thank you notes to people in my life letting them know how much I appreciate them and why. I started with a few coworkers who over the past 11 years have seen me through some of the toughest times and have had a positive impact on my life. The effects were great, I felt good because I have such amazing people in my life and it made them feel good too. One was actually dealing with something of her own and it helped her, but they all said the same thing "it made their day".
So today I try to carry that positive energy with me and awareness that I have power over my weight and attitude....for today anyway.

What a wonderful thing to do! Expressing gratitude is a great exercise in humanity. =)
