View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day
I am very thankful for all my blessings. Sunday everything was put into perspective, while watching my grandson. We were having a lovely day, we played, he napped, played some more and then had lunch. I always eat with him cause they learn by watching and mimicking us, we were having ziti and he was loving it. I cut it all into very small bites and he was really enjoying it, alternating a few bites then taking sips of his lactaid milk with huge smiles as he pulled the cup away from his mouth. All of a sudden it was different, he pulled the cup back and was in distress, he was choking!!!!
His back arched and he had pain on his face, I leaned him forward, striking his back several times but it did t help. I realized it was serious and ripped the tray off the high chair flinging it, food and all! I quickly unbuckled him and pulling him from the high chair, I dropped to my knees on the kitchen floor, turnig him over and striking his back again with the heel of my hand! His little body was arching and flailing about, I turned him over, his eyes had rolled back, his face was purple, I stuck my finger in his mouth to try and dislodge what was stuck, still nothing!!! I stood up and grabbed my cell phone off the kitchen table and dropped back to my knees, striking him again two time on the back, he was limp, as I fumbled for my phone to call 911 he let out a scream and began to cry!!!
I grabbed him, checked toaje sure he was still breathing on his own, with no distress, holding him, he clung to me for a half hour, we just sat on the floor his head resting on my chest and his arms around me, sitting quietly and just holding eachother, comforting one another until he was ready to get up. Both of us were crying it was so scary! I told my daughter when she came to pick him up that I was going for infant CPR classes ASAP because although I knew the motions, I knew it was different for infants and that I could hurt him but wasn't sure exactly what to do differently for an infant. She calmly showed me, she had to learn it at her job because she is a supervising cook at a nursing home and sometimes families of the patients bring in infants and children, so all the staff needs to know CPR for all ages.
I am so grateful I was able to help him, that We were blessed Sunday and he is OK!

kickboxing is my thing
:y: thats why i went to Ivan first!
:cry4:
i'm mostly left handed, i was forced (might be to strong of the word.) to learn to write right handed it is the only thing i do right handed. so i can kick box
using my left leg as my dominate stance/kick not having to use my bad right knee to suffer the impact and able to use a modified impact (it looks like i'm doing it wrong to others) but, it doesn't hurt!!
here it is Tuesday and i'm having scheduling issue already
