View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day
Laying here unable to sleep. I'm not feeling good again, the wind is howling outside, a few inches of snow fell last night and it's freezing even with the wood stove going; its 11 degrees out and with the windchill it is -12 degrees! Burr!!!
I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. I'm afraid to get on the scale today because I had a fat everything bagel for breakfast yesterday, a PB and jelly for lunch and then the dinner I made for my hubby. I made lamb shoulder chops braised in red wine with rosemary, a red wine apricot and plum pan sauce, roasted baby red potatoes, a chopped salad with homemade ciabatta bread croutons and goat cheese. The calories and sugar from the sauce is maily what I'm worried about and sodium, I'm sure there was a ton between the wine and the dried apricots and dried plumbs, plus let's not forget the bagel and then bread for my sandwich! OMG why was I thinking??? I didn't drink enough water to counteract the sodium, I barely drink any at all.
I know I made a conscious decision to not track yesterday and allow myself "a day off" really the only bad thing I had was the bagel, I didn't drink any wine or eat chocolates (my husband was sweet enough not to get me any so there would be no temptation) and didn't want them. I knew that bagel was probably 500-600 calories on its own, and I just wanted a freakin bagel...but not just any bagel would do, it had to be from my favorite local place, baked fresh on site daily, HUGE, soft and delicious! Okay then, yesterday I played and today I will pay...I will have to be on point today, all day. Yesterday was my free pass and now it's back on program and back in my healthy lifestyle...I guess every once in a "blue moon" isn't bad as long as it's just that.
Well, I think I'm going to go make some tea and hopefully I'll start to feel better today.
Have a great day!

count it and move on, we all have those days... it's the days that turn into weeks that will hurt you...
KT Tape, look it up for taping methods.. i use a soft white tape as a barrier and then 2 pieces of KT tape to slide my knee cap over tot he left so it tracks better and my tendons that hold my knee cap in place don't get pulled (and there for less inflammation)
it's not doing anything for my hip pain but, we think that is due too over compensation or limping, i need to re strengthen my leg muscles evenly and hoping thats all it is!! i got a new workout bike for Valentines day. i got to do something!!

No regrets! If you step away from the program for a meal or a day, make it worth it. Revel in it! The food you described sounded so GOOD!

Yes, I think every once awhile in a blue moon works. At least it has for me! As long as you know that it's a break from routine and not a new one
