I had off yesterday so I started spring cleaning, the dust I stirred aggravated my allergies. I was able to get slot done, I still have more to do, it's not just spring cleaning, it's purging, reorganizing...I need a change so maybe some redecorating. I found a lovely color for my bedroom, it's a little dark...elephant gray. I want the room to be relaxing and peaceful, right now it's a very 80's baby ice blue that was here when we moved in in 2004 but it's time. Out with the old and in with the new, feeling the need to change appearance of our living space just as my appearance has changed. My outlook and mood is different and I think our home should reflect that. Luckily for my husband I'm not a frilly foo-foo kind of girl, I like more masculine decor, large strong dark wood pieces, clean lines, no knick-knacks. I stay away from flowers and generally dislike pastels, my favorite color is a rich dark-deep red, I love bringing the red into the rooms subtlety with accessories. I want my home to feel warm, peaceful and well like I do when in my husbands arms...100% my favorite place in the world...in his arms.

I need to dedicate space for my grandson for a play area so he feels like this is his home too. I'm not saying he's going to only be able to play there but I want a dedicated space for his toys and such so he can play there or anywhere but has a place to put "his toys". He loves looking out the windows and my house is almost 200 yrs old, the windows in the dining room are low, skinny and tall, perfect height for him. I'm going to remove the desk and make that corner his corner, a cozy reading chair, rug for playing on and a bench toy box with a small book shelf. I can't wait to go get him a slide and swingset for outside too! I'm so excited about this year. I truly feel like the Phoenix, constantly being reborn.

Well gotta go, I have a date with our little man and the Easter Bunny!
