View WHORLEDCRAZY's food & exercise for this day
The Dh is going away for a couple of days to play army man and do business.....so he's taking me to the movies tonight. Popcorn dilemma....

I love Coke slurpees....

I HATE the movies. Not really, but I wish did so I didn't get so tempted.
I haven't been able to ride my bike because of all the wind and I really really miss it. The weather is turning cooler and soon there will be days when I can't go at all because of snow and ice. I've been thinking about buying the stationary bike trainer. You actually put your own bike on a stand that has rollers and you ride your bike on it. You can give it resistance and it would be great for those days that are absolutely miserable for riding.
I was over at friends house and her house is so clean. It's absolutely spotless. I get so annoyed (jealous) when I go over because my house always looks like a trained wrecked in it. My laundry is piling up to the roof and the floor is always muddy. I really hate having a messy house. I'm always constantly cleaning up and still...it's awful. Ok, it looks lived in. Like 10 people share a space and everything that it implies. I don't think there is anyway this house would ever stay clean except if no one lived here.
It's apple season and I love fresh, crunchy apples. The kind that dribble when you bite into them. They kind of sparkle and have a tang that reminds me of champagne bubbles. Right now I am into the Honey Crisps. I usually go for the Braeburns or the Pink Ladies. I love them with salt. By December, the white Florida grapefruits will be in. Those I get by the case from my produce guy. A case has about 20 in it, I could eat them by the truckloads. With salt. So yummy. They don't last too long around here. I can only get them for about 9 weeks starting in December so we get them while we can.
I'm thirsty for hot apple cider. Or better yet......spiced mead. I had that at the renaissance festival we went too a couple of weekends ago. I get some every year that we go. I usually keep a bottle or two in the house as well. It's a nice substitute for the everyday norm. Chaucer's is the best but I have been buying it from a local producer that is infused with lavender. It's pretty good too.
The kids are after me to buy some pumpkins to bake for pumpkin pie. I make pumpkin so much that I really have an aversion to the color orange by the end of November and December. I swear it goes in everything from pancakes, muffins, waffles, bread.....to mashed pumpkin instead of potatoes. The children can't get enough of it. It's time for fresh cranberry sauce too. That I make with vanilla bean and fresh cranberries. The children eat it instead of apple sauce.
I should go clean now...or at least try to make an attempt.
