French Toast at its finest - yum!
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins
Yield: 8 x 1-slice servings
In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and eggs; beat well. Cut each bread slice in thirds.
With cooking spray, spray large skillet, or use non-stick skillet. Dip strips in batter and fry in skillet, until golden on both sides.
Remove, drain, and place in shallow pan in heated oven until all are cooked. Serve hot.
Lightly sprinkle with powdered sugar, drizzle with low-calorie maple or fruit-sweetened syrup, top with fruit, or Pear Sauce (see recipe link below).
