This yummy hot oatmeal will fill you up on a cold day.
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Yield: 6 x approx. 1-cup servings
Place the oats, water and milk in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, while stirring, for 10 minutes or until cooked. Stir through raisins.
Heat the broiler and line a broiler pan with foil (or use non-stick pan). Arrange the pears on the foil in a single layer. Sprinkle with brown sugar and broil for 5 minutes or until the sugar bubbles.
Spoon the oatmeal into 6 bowls, top with slices of pear and sprinkle with pistachios. Serve with extra brown sugar and drizzle with milk if desired.
