Well, I am getting within swiping distance of my goal. You know there are, I read, two huge predictors of success in behavior change. One is knowing the change is necessary. The other is believing that you can achieve the change. I had serious, serious doubts about my ability to do weight loss. But I have actually lost over 25 pounds. And I know the challenge of maintenance looms. But wow! I can do it. So I am happy to be here, right now.

I've made it through some company visits. We have one more company encounter ahead. And also a quick trip to Colorado. Oooh, car trips can evoke food choices--not good ones either. It will be a challenge.

I'm thinking about dropping my weight goal. I deliberately set it at the top of the range for my weight and age. (See paragraph one.) Getting there will not get my BMI into the healthy weight range. And with the end of summer comes a return to the kid in school, mom at school job rat race. Challenges ahead. So I'm going to take it as it comes.
