Today I feel a little deflated, my sciatica is really acting up because I was on my feet until 10pm last night running around. Im not too worried about not making it to the gym last night; I had doctor appointments, was food shopping and preparing dinner for tonight so when I get home from having my ass handed to me by Elle my trainer, I wont have to worry about cooking And lets not forget the all important planning and setting up my meals for today.
Usually on non training days I try to at least burn a minimum of 400 calories and on training days a minimum of 800 so one day in between isnt the end of the world.
My chiropractor has me doing stretches that are helping just not when Im on my feet that long. I guess this is my bodys way of slowing me down and keeping me in check
I am an all or nothing personality, sometimes this works against me.
I feel like I need some extra positivity this morning so what better way than to be grateful for something
it usually makes me happy and motivated and I received this quote in an email from a friend this morning.
Feeling grateful of someone or something in your life actually attracts more things that you appreciate and value into your life. ~ ~ Christiane Northrup, M.D.
I am grateful for Calorie King, CK community, my trainer Elle, my family, friends and co-workers who are supporting and encouraging me in my journey; especially my husband Joe, who has been incredible and is my biggest cheerleader. LOVE THAT MAN!!! I am also grateful that I found the courage to start again, take back control of my life, to put in the hard work to be disciplined with my diet and workouts.
I am also grateful for my 6 month old grandson Damien, he is part of my motivation and he will be walking soon. The way I felt before recommitting to being healthy, there was no way I would be able to keep up with him
NOW I CAN!
I appreciate the time my trainer is spending and the knowledge she is giving me, I know I pay her but she is so passionate, if she doesnt have anyone behind me, she spends extra time with me. I also appreciate all of the bloggers at CK because we are all part of the same army and there is strength in numbers
so we can encourage each other and some of you have already done that for me, and I thank you.
WOW! I feel so much better now
I have my air back, I am feeling so light hearted I could just float away.

Try it
what are you grateful and appreciative of or for?

I have the same issue with my lower right back. Standing for a long time kills me. BUT if I am good about all the stretches and exercises my chiro gave me I do so much better.
It is frustrating when it flares up because I cannot do all the exercises. Thankfully there are always modifications I can do!
You are doing great
