View THEFATCHICK's food & exercise for this day

Good morning. It's raining here and probably will all weekend. The rain makes me tired, I love rainy day afternoon naps but I have my grandson today and tomorrow so he will keep me plenty active today playing.
He is my personal ray of sunshine.:heart2::teeth1:

My weight is holding and I'm OK with that, at least it's not fluctuating and according to the water % on my scale I'm not holding water but I feel like a little bloated this morning. I found a recipe for avanana bread (avocado & banana) that I'm going to try if can find some really ripe bananas...if the bread is good I'm going to try to make breakfast muffins so I can freeze them and pull on when in a pinch. I'm going to try making a full version, then a reduced calorie version, reducing the brown sugar and finding a substitute for buttermilk. I'm hoping this will be a good experiment.

I feel very calm and centered today, the baby also has a way of making me feel that way. So relaxing listening to the rhythm of the rain and the cars swooshing by. I also have my Zen CDs (yes I said CDs) playing for the baby, he woke up at 4am and was tired and cues his music. Sometimes he just lays there listening, most times it's puts him out. I've used these CDs since he was born, he had a lot of stomach issues adjusting to formula after my daughter stopped producing milk. He is also thought to be lactose intolerant but told her to wait a little longer before having him tested, instead they want to gradually try introducing him to dairy and seeing how he does...he's strictly soy right now. Anyway the CDs were the only thing that calmed him when his belly was hurting, he had such bad gas, his belly would get get so hard, it was very much like colic but it wasn't consistent. Anyway I would kick on the CDs and hold him and he would just settle down from screaming to a whimper and then relax. They were a life saver. :)

Since I have him this weekend and next Sunday I must do what I've been putting off for a few months...I have to go get bifocals :( I hate trying on frames, I don't like the way I look in glasses and the one pair if D&G frames I have from a few years ago may be to small for the bifocal...I'm getting the progressive. This will undoubtedly be an expensive purchase I think I'm looking at $600 to $800 with frames. :(

Well it's time, baby is down and I must get into the shower to start my day.

Have a great day:wave1:

Yes, holding steady with the weight is good! That recipe sounds divine, so if the lower calorie version works please share it! You sound like such a sweet grandmother. I'm sure your daughter appreciates you. Have a good Saturday!
