View YEWTREE's food & exercise for this day
... exactly how am I going to use this tool? I've committed and recommitted to blogging, but somehow I don't often show up here. I read a few blogs a lot of days. I like to keep up with the 2009 Challenge forum. I log my foods and exercise. And that's a lot of time! Today, I'm trying to blog first and so see if I can set a new pattern.
I learned yesterday, or my experience yesterday seemed to teach me that not enough protein by nighttime is a danger to control of my evening munchie desires. Could not get food off my mind evening and finally gave in to handfuls of roasted nuts and a cup of cocoa. That I was satisfied by that snack made me think that the protein was what I needed. I usually eat a goodly amount of protein at breakfast, but yesterday morning I wanted some of that Quaker Granola. It's very delicious, and it should be since it's 210 calories per half cup -- and I ate a cupful!
LATER: I had to take a long pause there in order to lie down. Our instructor at my Tuesday evening AquaSize class implemented a new series of core exercises. Boy! did my core get exercised! I was hurting in my sides and gut and hips by the time I got home. After a none too restful night, I hurt all day yesterday. I refused work today because I didn't know what the pain would be like. I felt pretty ok this morning, but took a dose of Tylenol ES anyway. I did mostly sitting activities this morning, had my breakfast and did some computer work. In the middle of my blog I felt I could not sit up straight anymore, took a dose of TES and lay down for a few minutes. I fell asleep for three hours!!! I need a lot of sleep, but when I have a three hour nap after a 9-hour sleeping night, that's my ole bod working on a heal.
Which brings up another topic of mine: "eating back calories." When I exercise and log -250 to -300 calories, I have trouble fiinding enough calories to get me within my daily calorie range. This is the strangest "diet" I've ever been on, where I have trouble eating enough to meet requirement! But on the days I don't log exercise calories, guess what, I'm riding that Gimme Somethin' to Eat bull. So far, I've managed to keep the bull in check, but see the goodies I succumbed to last night noted above.
It's time to head to the pool for today's exercise now! Check ya later!
