I have a lot of friends on face what ever you call it and have never even been on the web page. I barely find time to do CK. I guess I'm not much of a computer person.
Yes, I like the Beck Book. Read and did the workbook last year, but it's the type of book you can benefit from doing every year just to keep you on track. I have used it in my other Recovery program I am now doing. The thinking mistakes are the most beneficial part of the book. I also found out if you do the fasting assignment like she says to do it you will greatly benefit from what you will learn from it. A lot of people chicken out on this assignment.
I did this assignment even though I was still on the insulin pump at the time. I really learned a lot about my capabilities as to how far and how long I could go without food. It taught me I don't have to have something in my tummy every two hours ! The hardest part about being on a diet is when you get hungry and you have no calories left to eat for the day and it is 6pm in the evening ! I try not to have that happen too often. Today I will have to exercise if I want an even snack for an example. It's going to be one of those days already.
