YEWTREE's CalorieKing blog

Saturday, Jun 12 2010 - still trying to climb back on the wagon

View YEWTREE's food & exercise for this day

My wagon must be traveling down the road and I'm running to catch up with it, 'cause getting back on it is not proving easy! :tongue10: I think I'm eating pretty healthily but when I diary my foods -- surprise! a million calories and I wasn't even trying! Yesterday I finally got to the pool and a good exercise session, and I was thinking, "Oh, yeah, green check for me today." However, my diary shows I'm once again waaaay over my calorie goal.

Looks like I'm going to have to plan ahead and eat only what is on my plan in order to stay within calorie range. You'd think I'd already know that, but I've always balked at planning meals. I like to operate on the now-it's-time-to-eat-what's-in-the-fridge plan. I need to form a new habit. Obviously.

And I need to be reading my Beck Book every day. It's necessary for me to get info which is oriented to my goal into my brain on a daily basis as well as a wise amount of nourishing food into my stomach. Brain and stomach, brain and stomach, all my life stomach has been the boss. We need to get a new sheriff in my town. :nono5::laugh5::nono5:

Thanks for the tips, Deb. I'll look into those options, see if they work for me. Marjorie, I'll put a hook in your wagon should I see it trying to pass me on the downhill!

If you see my wagon running past yours, let me know. I've lost mine as well. :laugh5: :laugh5:

Getting back on track can sometimes be so hard. I know for me just getting off my routine for a few days messes me up.

Did you ever try from (i think) crystal light, the flavor packets that you add to a bottle of water? They have ones for hunger control and the packet I think is 30 calories. I have a box in my desk at work on the days I seem to have the munchies.
Or sometimes the protein powder packes like above help too.

Just some ideas for ya.
