So I have survived the beginning of the holiday food obstacles at work this week, Halloween week or Fall Festival.
On the agenda here this week was:
Tuesday chili cheese nachos
Wednesday donuts and coffee
Thursday grilled hot dogs with all the fixin and candy for the little ones
Ill admit that on Tuesday I failed the test. I was unprepared and let those chili cheese nachos win!!! But the rest of the week I was GOOD!!! I set-up for the donuts and coffee, asked someone else to pick-up the donuts, and had several people volunteer to run the selling of said donuts so I didnt have to enter the room until the last donut was being sold. I had my breakfast before I went to work that day and had my snack a little early so I would be less tempted to eat a donut or 6!!!
Today was a little harder. I had to run the sale. So Im sitting in the main break room selling hot dogs straight from the grill, watching people apply their favorite toppings, and then sit down to consume them. All the while Im standing in front of no less than 50ish hot dogs ready for me
I could have EASILY consumed 5 of them like I was the winner of a eating contest
no liquids, no toppings, just shove them in. But I refrain from eating any but I was white knuckling it the whole time
in the end I gave 20 or so away just because I didnt want to have to worry about the starving kids of the world.
The CANDY was crazy here today. And there are bowls full still lying around!!! Ive had none
and now its off to the gym for a good work-out. I have another challenge with weekend as Im going out of town to see my family for a couple of days. I have a plan and Im taking some of my own food. And Im going to keep telling myself that I have to weigh-in on Monday to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Challenges are good because they are real and they keep me motivated. Heres to a great week and an even better weekend.
