I agree with fellow Calorie King member Margaret from Oregon that it is kind of sad to think that watching our food intake and increasing our activity has just got to become a daily habit for the rest of our lives. Yes, it is true - no way around it. I've decided to give up making New Year's resolutions. By the time you're in your fifties, as I now am, you either decide to do something or you don't. I've been like so many other people, vowing each January to lose weight. Somehow, it seems to meaningless to make a vow like that. It almost implies a finite period of time. We decided to spend Thanksgiving in Vegas this year for the first time. If you have never been to Vegas, you would not believe how tempting this is for a foodaholic. Food abounds there in the form of buffets at every hotel along the famous Las Vegas Strip. I forgot who said it, but the saying goes, "Eighty percent of life is just showing up." So, I'm here. I had purchased a copy of the CK calorie guide a few years ago and really liked it.
