Friday, Mar 2 2007 - our gold finch birds!
View RENIGEID's food & exercise for this day
We have these little birds year round. Bright yellow and black (males) in the summer months and somewhat darker (no yellow) in the winter months. These little fellows eat about 20# of niger seed every two weeks! But! We sure enjoy watching them. This feeder and two bag feeders are located just off the front porch where we eat a lot during the warmer months and can watch them to our heart's content.
No weigh in today. Going to surprise myself a little later since I've had no exercise to speak of the last several days. Perhaps an unpleasant surprise.

I can not imagine life without birds.. They are what calms me instead of meds..I am putting up my hummer feeders tomorrow. I had to buy a couple of new ones to replace the two that went kaput last year. We have the finches also. Jim, do you guys have painted buntings? I see them here once in a great while. When we lived in Newport, Tx, we had a bunch of them that came every day to the feeders.

My favorite time is to lie in my bed swing, have a fine mist of water on me on a warm summer day, swing, watch and listen to the birds. awww what a way to relax..
How are you feeling? Doing great, I pray.

I had to go back and look at all of your photos and checked out your Wildlife Habitat website. You have serious skills.
:y: The photos are beautiful. I hope each day you are feeling better and stronger.

What a gorgeous picture! Did you use photoshop to apply that cute border? We also have bird feeders in our back yard. We enjoy watching the birds a lot, but squirrels try to tear down the feeders all the time.

Yellow finch - I love to watch them, they also add beautiful decor to a winter worn landscape.

I love Finches! Beautiful picture. I can't have a bird feeder at our house now because there is really no good place to put one where we can see it. We did however one year have a Robin make her nest next to our garage and we got to watch the babies grow up.

Went through your blogs to look at your photos --- I enjoyed them! Thank you for posting them. I take a lot of photos to do my watercolors from.
