View RENIGEID's food & exercise for this day

Frist let me say thanks for all the nice comments you folks have been making concerning my little daily photos. Makes me feel good to know that someone enjoys them as much as I do. Thank you all.

OK, I need your help on this one. The first bloom of the year on this vine that is in Ebby's rock garden. neither of know the correct name for it. It is a little early and may get frost bit yet. We had 82 degrees yesterday and everything is beginning to bud out now. The Bradford pear trees are going to be in full bloom in another couple of days. Looks as if they are going to be really beautiful this year. Will blog a pic as soon as they are in full bloom. Have a nice day everyone. Another beautiful one here.

I've never seen that one. It's beautiful. It was almost in the 70's yesterday, and this Saturday we're expecting a Northeaster with at least 6 inches of snow. Typical New England weather - if you don't like the weather, the saying goes, wait a minute.

Cool. I actually should have recognized it. I've had hybrids of that plant.

Dogged if I know... It still looks an awfully lot like a violet to me--well except for the leaves.... I just spent the last 20 minutes searching because it's going to drive me nuts now to figure out what it is.... If my grandmother were alive, I'm sure she'd have a name for it.... It may not be the right one--but she'd be adamant about it...

I gotcha covered, Jim. It's a Vinca Major. Here's a link for you. :) http://www.paghat.com/vincamajor.html

Actually--here's a link to a pretty good picture of one of the many. They look pretty similar to me.

I would guess it's some sort of wild violet... There's so many different varieties of plants it's amazing sometimes! :)
