:hi: I've gotten called 5 times for jury duty -- once I was in nursing school so I got out of it, and one was for the Federal courts. Three of those times was for a full 2 weeks each time, and I spent the entire time on cases. It's changed since the last time I had to go--I think it's one day unless you're on a case. The Federal jury was for 2 high profile cases - a murder/hijacking and then the Mayor of Providence being tried on Federal charges--both long drawn out things, especially the last. He's actually due to come out of jail soon. [And, I think they're making a movie about him - he's quite a character! ]
