Yup, another hot one, 96 degrees so far (1500 hrs) and still a stiff wind that keeps the old front yard windmill spinning. But, can sit on the front porch and have lunch and still keep cool (with overhead fans running) without worrying about misquitos.
Painted another martin pole this morning before lunch. The heat came on before I finished and I was wet with sweat by the time I got it set up again. Enough work for today. Came in, had a light lunch, read awhile and then took a short nap. An old man's sort of thing, you know, as he approaches that fabled second childhood thing.

Seriously, life is good no matter what . When you folks get tired of hearing me tell about how good life is and how beautiful this old world is, just tell me to shut up and I'll think about doing that. No promises tho, you hear.

We all have the ability to make lemon aid when life hands us the many lemons that fall from the trees of life.. We just have to work at it and do the best we can.

Whoa now! Everything in my life hasn't been a bowl of cherrys and still isn't! I still have my demons that wake me up at times in the wee morning hours just like everyone else. I just try to make that extra effort to think about how well off I really am compared to millions and millions of other unfortunate souls in this old world. Think about it!!

Ebby up sick again last night (morning @ 02 hundred hrs), worried about that girl. Perhaps it's just the winters catching up with her. Just don't know. Dr's have found nothing causing the deep rooted problem yet. Perhaps we will find the cure soon.
Photo is one taken this morning on our "early" morn walk while still cool. It is part of our walking trail and a down hill portion of it. You can still see the suns rays just getting into the woods at a very low angle. Isn't nature a beautiful thing when we look for what it has to offer!!
Nuff of my rambling. Sorry about getting carried away.

. I usually try not to do that! Anyway, anyone reading this mess, have a beautiful, fulfilling and glorious day. Jim

Ramble away, my friend. You are so right about being positive and keeping our tracks uncluttered--I like that!
:) The nice thing about positives is we never get tired of them. I love when both boys take a nap and Nana can nap too - what I did on Friday afternoon. What a life!
:) Yesterday it was gorgeous weather here - dry and in the 80's and I was out in it all day painting - what a beautiful day. It's such a wonderful way to appreciate all the beauty around us. I'm praying for Ebby and hope she's feeling better.
 I love your photo, Jim. Have a great Sunday, my friend.

Jim, you keep right on "rambling". I love looking at your beautiful photos of your property. I would love such a trail by my home to walk on. I am glad your eyes are improving and your sweet Ebby is in my prayers, that they find out why she is feeling poorly.
Hugs to both of you
