Not a lot of rain but in these dry conditions every drop counts!

The red headed woodpecker shown is getting a bill full of suet to feed his (her) young. A frequent visitor to the suet feeder along with other types of woodpeckers. They all love suet for the young.

Has anyone tried to grow tomatoes in a hanging basket or bucket. I am trying a couple this year to see what happens. Hanging them in the back yard (fenced in) to keep them from the deer who visit every night. Deer LOVE green...

A little rain cloud floating around up there today!

Hey! A little rain forecast! We shall see :(

Ok, got about 1/4 of my pastures cut the last two days. Going to try for a little more this morn before the rain ,hopefully :) arrives.

Youngest son finally came over last night to see his mother for "Mothers day" Do not really understand kids these days but guess a belated visit is better than none at all even tho she hung around the house all day Sunday looking for him and only lives about 1/4 mile from him. :sad2:

We need rain badly!

Looks like another hot dry summer here in n Georgia. I see already where some folk's yards are dying after being cut. This is especially true where there is only a thin layer of top soil.

But! The days are lovely, so guess we take what we get, huh?

A new day

A new day at 3:00 AM. Rough night sleeping! :(

Ok, here it is 6:00 AM and i am up and running. A lot to do today. Want to get the front pasture cut and then somnetime today a trip to the dentist to have a crown put back on that came off yesterday.

Hope Y'all like the bird house. I built it several years ago and covered it with cedar. It feeds all the way around and has several perches on each side that were made from 3 inch hardwood dowels. They are now worn off to stubs by the many tho...
