Three days of three digit heat records here last week. Still no rain. someday!
So, just reporting in so you folks will know I am still kicking.

For several days now we have been bounceing from 97 to 103 degrees. new records set the last few days. Still no rain. Just hight temps and a hot wind. Whew!!!
Photo is of a hawk that has been tryuing to catch Mike's (my edest son) chickens. They just might be roasted chickens if he waits awhile longer.
Hope all are still fine. Today saw an ENT dr about the eyes. More antibotics!

Boy! This is rough for the n Georgia mountains. We just usually do not have this type of weather for such long periods. Some 103 and 104 days forecast for next week and still no moisture in sight!

Ebby and I were treated by getting the grand children for awhile today. Not often and it was nice.

Yup, another hot one, 96 degrees so far (1500 hrs) and still a stiff wind that keeps the old front yard windmill spinning. But, can sit on the front porch and have lunch and still keep cool (with overhead fans running) without worrying about misquitos.
Painted another martin pole this morning before lunch. The heat came on before I finished and I was wet with sweat by the time I got it set up again. Enough work for today. Came in, had a light lunch, read awhile and then took a short nap. ...

Took Ren on an early morning run this morning. Just Ren and me. Ebby stayed in. The heat is beginning to become unbearable so taking Ren out while the morning is somewhat cool.
Painted all of my martin gourds yesterday. Getting ready for next years return of the martins. Today, planning on wirebrushing the pole and repainting prior to raising it up again for the winter.
Eye report. Eyes are doing so much better. The thinking now is the problems were caused by a chronic sinus infection....
