View ROWDYBLISS's food & exercise for this day
Well, I'm embarrassed to say that I've gained back about 20 lbs of the 60 that I'd lost as of August of 2007. I could make all sorts of excuses for why it happened (i.e., going through a tough divorce, stress fractures in my legs from running, etc.), but I won't.
Instead, I'm going to start anew... and I'm going to use the Beck Diet Solution again, since I had such good success with it last time. One might argue that if I gained back 20 that the Beck thing wasn't so successful, but really, it is - because I think that had I NOT read it, I would have gained back much more than 20!
So, here goes. Day one!
I created two response cards: my "Advantages" card (which has changed since the last time I made one, back in 2007), and a response card for when I don't feel motivated to read the "Advantages" card - which I know is going to happen. Part of my problem is that I know I'm going to try to psych myself out of reading the cards because I've done the program before and think that because of that, I don't need to bother. WRONGO!
Part of my Beck assignment for today is to post my advantages elsewhere, so I'm going to put them here, for further reinforcement.
ADVANTAGES:
1. I'll look better.
2. I'll be athletic again!
3. I'll feel better physically.
4. I'll live longer and with better quality.
5. I'll like what I see in the mirror.
6. Smaller size = cuter clothes! (and helloooo, I'm single again...)
7. Won't be so self-conscious.
8. I'll get better parts in shows.
9. I'll feel good on the beach/at the pool. (I have a bikini figure under this fat!)
OK! Good job, me!

Hi, good luck, and you should be very proud of yourself for catching it before you did put everything back.... I got the Beck book a couple of weeks ago, read a little, but not as much as I should be.... I will start reading it again tomorrow.... take care, Arlene
