Today marks the first week of my " life plan" Things are better....as long as I am not out an about looking at food I'm fine. A trip to the grocery store is hard because there are so many temptations. I don't really crave sugar but I absolutely LOVE fruit. Any kind of fruit. Today they had brought out some of the some luscious green grapes. Looking at them makes me thirsty and all I could think about was how juicy they looked.
Right now, because I am doing the South Beach thing, I'm still on phase 1. This means no fruit or fruit juice (among other things) and I am craving fruit right now. You know how that happens...you never want something until you can't have it and then you become OBSESSED about having it.
Now the really cool thing is that DH bought a Wii Fit Plus for me. And I really, really like it. The yoga and strength training is intense. Especially for me, because my muscles are so weak and flabby. my stomach especially...which is where I carry most of my weight to begin with.
The treadmill work outs have caused my shin splints to flare up again and I am really in a lot of pain. It hurts just to flex my foot up and down. I used the Wii fit and It helped me with my flexibility.
I did some toning and stretching and then used the Wii Gold's Gym Workout and did a little "boxing". This REALLY helped the pain in the front of my legs, below my knees. It feels better.
