Secretly, I've been doing the TSC Heart of a Champion program by Chris Krueger.

Fantastic guy, very inspirational, and really fun.

This week, I've finally decided to start logging my progress:

3 mile run: 6.7mph, total time: 26:40 secs
Pull Ups: 12
Push Ups - 45-> 50.

202 w/ending Jan 29th

Ideally, a super-fit adult male should be at the following stats:

3 miles: 18 mins
20 Pulls up w/out interruption
50 push-ups w/out interruption.

Here's how to calculate the score:

Each pull-up = 5 pts (total 100)
Each push-up = 2 pts (total 100)
3 miles = 18 mins or less (total 100)
Perfect score = 300.

We take our score based off our failures (or success!)
For each pull-up less than 20, we deduct 5 pts.
For each push-up less than 50, we deduct 2 points
For each 10 sec interval below 18 mins, we deduct 1 point. Thus, a minute = 6 pts.

This gives me a score of:
Push-Ups: (50 x 2) = 100
Pull-Ups: (12*5) = 60
Run: 26 - 18 : 8 mins * 6 pts = -48 and 40 sec / 10 = 4 = total minus of 52 pts. 100 - 52 = 48 points total.

Therefore, my score is:
100 + 60 + 42 = 202 w/ending Jan 29th

This score is a MAJOR improvement for me as 5 weeks ago, my stats were something like:

Push-Ups = 25 x 2 = 50
Pull-Ups = 2 x 5 = 10
Run - 0, as I could not do 3 miles at all.
Total Score: 60

Not bad, but looks as if I have a ways to go for Pull-Ups and running.

In the words of Chris Krueger:
"Don't be discouraged if you don't do well the first time you take the challenge (it's entirely possible for individuals to score zero points the first time they take the challenge) or if you fail to improve in each category every week. Just continue to show up and give your best effort as you strive for your goals. You will get there eventually and along the way you will find true health & fitness, that magical point at which you look, feel and perform as well as you possibly can. That is the promised land and the TSC 300 Challenge and the Heart of a Champion Training & Nutrition Program can help you get there."
