Wednesday, Oct 13 2010 - Great Tuesday but a challenging Wednesday ahead

View HALE612's food & exercise for this day

Well I survived the double workout yesterday. Funny effect from it was I had the giggles until almost 1am. Not so funny effect was I didn't go to sleep until almost 1am. And that makes for a short night when I have to be at work by 6am. I know that I have to get plenty of rest to keep dropping the pounds so tonight I'll take some benadryl to help me get to sleep.

So my big challenge today is a lunch with my co-workers. We are going to a greek food place. I've pre-planned to have a piece of grilled chicken, salad served dry, and dressing on the side. It's going to be hard because I would really love to have some hummus, pita chips, and cabbage roll. But am I willing to sacrifice, as of this morning, an already 2.5lb weight loss this week. NO! I believe there is probably plenty of hummus, pita chips, and cabbage rolls already stored on this body.

Now today was suppose to be my rest day. I've given that lots of thought and for several reasons that I'm about to mention I'm not going to take a "rest" day. First, I'm morbidly obese so how good of an idea is it to spend a day, anyday, doing what got me to the rotunt size in the first place. Secondly, working out and going to the gym are really the catalyst for maintaining my mental health at the moment. (Reason is for a different blog and a different day.) Lastly, I'm riding a huge momentum wave right now so I think I should make the most of it. I've decided to do 2 hrs of cardio tonight at a slower pace than I've been doing. I'm going to push myself just a little but not quite as hard as I have been pushing.

Everyone out in blog world have a great day!

Lunch was a total success. I went with a plan and I stuck to the plan. I ordered off the kids menu and had chicken kabob with grilled veggies and small salad (dressing on the side and used very little). I'm very happy with this event. I was very nervous going into it but now I know that I need to formulate a plan and stick to the plan.

The only hard moment was when the coworker sitting next to me food arrived, she got a hamburger with fries (definitely my favorite food combo on the planet) and split some fried green beans with another co-worker. They both weigh 10lbs...together!!!
