Good Run yesteday...Scale appears to be reflecting effort. I have been trying to add in some additional calories to get closer to my daily goal. The books I have been reading are impacting my thoughts about the food I eat: In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan; The China Study by T. Colin Cambpell; The Way We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter by Peter Singer. It appears as if eating a plant based diet with ethical / social awareness is the best approach...but how do I give up seafood ...

Greek Easter was Sunday...typical meal would have been the death of my food choice effort. Did okay, I was up on the scale 4 pounds...but I am thinking mostly salt and fluid retention...
Yesterday was the first time I ran all 5 miles since 2002! Now I need to get speed work in, but am closing in on my goal to run a sub hour for the Falmouth!

202... flirted with 201.5, but I recorded 202. Tomorrow will be a tough day...Typical Greek Celebration...Lamb, dolmades, pastichio, lemon potatos, tsatsiki, rice...will have to run an extra mile or two.

Lunch out with Eleni yesterday could have halted progress, but my 4.8 mile run sort of helped out! Speaking of which, while I did not stop I certainly did smell the flowers yesterday...beautiful patch of flowers on side of road gave off an amazing smell...almost made the run worth it!
Dinner out with Eleni tonight (new restaurant - Heathers) could be another challenge...Will try and get a 5.6 mile run in today! All in all this 203-208 range is starting to feel pretty doable....
