Monday, Jun 20 2011 - My 1st Day`
View RMONTES8's food & exercise for this day
Well here it goes.
My weight loss journey has been a very inconsistent one. A couple of years ago I started my journey and found some great success. I had lost around 60 lbs and was the lightest I had been weight wise since my earlier years. Then the recession of 2009 hit strong and I was one of the many affected by this. Losing my job, struggling with bills, struggling relationships; all of that lead to depression in which I gained my weight back and then some.
Shortly after that time, I decided to turn my life around for the better. I got a new job, decided to go back to school (working on a masters degree now) and decided I needed to take better care of myself. These decisions have also increased the difficulty of staying healthy. Waking up early to go to work, and then run to class from 6:30-9:30pm and getting home at 10pm really makes for a difficult time to find workout time. My days are so overburdened with work that I feel like I'm constantly on the go. I honestly don't' have that much time to get lazy, I just don't have time.
In summary, now I sit here at the highest weight I have ever been (325) and I know that I need to get back to this. I get discourage quickly sometimes because I want to do everything all at once and I forget that's its one day at a time; a slow journey. I saw this site, joined up and need to focus on getting back to my journey.
Wish me luck!

Yes, I'm definitely going to try something. Depending on how the remainder of this week goes I might just try the 15 minute walk method that you mentioned.

Ya know, I thought you were another Richie who used to be here when I replied back to your PM. Of course I still remember you as well and I am glad to see that the job is still going strong. I still have you under your old users name on my blog roll, somehow I guess I thought you might come back for a quick update or something. We can do this, so lets get moving, moving, moving. Can you do at least two 15 minute walks during the day and really push it on the weekends?
