View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day

I am alive! Just completed my last speed work session with Big River Running Company. It was a great experience. Did not PR the final 5k….I was just happy that I survived running in 102 degree weather (114 heat index at 7pm).

There are about 5 woman that I usually run around. they started out so fast. I decided to run between a 10:30-10:45 pace. I worked hard at keeping my pace slower. I am so glad I did. the other gals ended up having to walk and I ended the running a 10:43 average pace which was about 34:something. Not upset at all about that. I was happy I adjusted my pace and made it through the run in the weather.

I now have a great T-Shirt that says “I ran repeats during the heat wave, what did you do”

Another green check day and running in the heat really makes the scale nice the next day. Scale show 217!!!! I hope I can keep that weight for the PAW weigh in on Monday. My mini goal is to get to 214 (that is the lowest weight I got last fall. I was only there for a coulpe of days)
