View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day

This past weekend I went camping with 9, 10 year olds. Whew, I am still tired. The weekend was very hot and humid and yes most of the girls (and adults) were whiney the entire weekend. I was a parent volunteer, not the leader, but ended up having to take more of a leader role……long story. I lost a weekend to get caught up with home chores.

Last week was crazy busy at work and then each night I had to run around getting ready for the camping trip and finding a dress for my daughter’s 8th grade dance. I got the best compliment from Clara. Clara is more of a Tom Boy type…she only were jeans and T-shirts and has not put on a dress in years. She usually will put on nice slacks and a top. BUT for this dance she really wanted to buy a dress. We finally found something she felt comfortable in. She was so sweet she said “Mom, you get me” How many teenagers would say that to their parent! Happy Mother's Day to me:)

Last week eating wise I did pretty good but did not log everything like I wanted to and then of course over the weekend I could not log anything. This week will be less running around and I am making it a priority to log everything and just accomplish as much as I can around the house.

Yesterday was a great eating day. Great on Calories and all nutrition were in range except for sodium – it was just a tiny bit over….so much better than usual! Sodium I was falling closer to 3,000 and yesterday I was just a little over 2,000.

Last night I bought my new Garmin! I got a forerunner 410. A combined Mother’s day and Birthday present to me. I cannot wait to take it out for a “spin”

Tonight is the first night of speed work with my running group. It will be interesting to see how I do this year compared to last year. Last year I was always one of the last 4 runners in.

This Saturday I have my first race of the summer, a 10k! I cannot remember my goal time, I need to check in with my running coach. I think my best 10k time was 1:04 and some seconds. I am on a maintenance training plan right now runs have been nice a easy.

After the weekend you had you deserve a new garmin at least!! I am so jealous, let me know how you like it. I am going to have to get a new one soon.

Your daughter is so sweet. That is one of those moments you will remember forever.
