View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day

For some reason a couple times a year I take a break from weighing myself every day for a few weeks and it does not work for me. I am back up to 228 pounds. I can definately tell in my belly area that I was up in weight BUT I don't feel like I am up that much in weight. I don't feel bloated, my running and exercise is going great ( I am running better and faster than I ever have) and just overall I feel good/healthy. In the past when I have lost weight I have really only looked at calories/points. The past few months I have really been working at eating quality foods (keeping the sugar, carbs, etc. in the right range). I wonder, since I feel healthier (even thought I am up in weight), is because I am making better food choices and now I need to be more careful with the calories. Things I need to consider on this journey. This month I am going to get a decent commission check so I am going sign on with that nutritionist again.

This past weekend was nice. My daugher had her recital. They did a great job. I attached a picture and I hope it works. I cannot figure out how people can insert pictures in their blogs. I can only fine the upload option that places it in the corner of the blog....

I did my 10 mile long run. It went well. It is starting to get hot again but I felt pretty good the entire time. The only bummer was that I was so focused on making sure that I had enough fuel I totally forgot my garmin!!!! Luckily I was running on a trail that have mile markers but they are only posts most of the time and it stinks having to keep track of the posts.

My husbands weight is still pretty bad and I am really worried about him. I don't say much because I know how hard it is. Yesterday he said that he knows he needs to do something and appreciates that I don't nag him. I did say that I was worried about him. He thinks he needs to exercise (true he needs to) BUT his diet is horrible. He does not realize how many calories he is eating in one sitting. He can easily eat 800 calories and I don't think he realizes. Even when he makes chocolate milk. He uses a glass that has at least 4 servings of milk and then tons chocolate syrup, I don't think he realizes the amount of sugar and carbs that are in this one snack. He will eat 2 pbj sandwhiches (white bread, tons of PB and jelly) before dinner. I suggested he just track his calories. We will see what happens. Honestly (TMI) it is impacting our Intimacy, just his physical size is a problem. Well I got to get to work, I am only working a half day today.

Your daughter is adorable!!!

I'm totally useless without my Garmin so I can totally relate. There's something so exact about it that gives me comfort. =D Keep up the great work!

Your daughter is so cute, love the costume!

I have the same problem with the scale if I don't weigh everyday:huh:

Your daughter is beautiful!
I am so thankful that my husband has never pressured me to lose weight - I know it would have made me resentful rather than eventually finding the internal drive. I bet your husband is proud of your acheivements, and may find your example motivating in his own time.
10 mile run - WOW girl!

Your daughter looks so cute! What an awesome outfit!

Good for your for stepping on the scale. You've progressed so much in other areas (nutrition, running) that are more important than a number. I have a hard time with numbers too and don't exactly understand why they are what they are sometimes...

I hope your husband gets motivated by you. It might make your lifestyle change easier if he changes as well. My husband is still a normal weight but he eats very poorly and always has to have cookies and chips in the house which is really hard for me. After I moved in with him I put on twenty plus pounds :/ I hope things get better for you! I am still trying to figure this all out myself, so if you find something that works, please let me know :)
