View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day
Yesterday was an OK eating day for me. I did great at work but when I got home I started to grab sugary carby snacks (cereal). I was pretty tired when I got home and when I am that tired I don't make the best decisions. This is something that I am going to focus on. For some reason right after I get home from work seems to be my weakest part of the day eating wise. I really just want to snack. I did have cut up veggies all ready but I grabbed cereal instead. BUT good thing....I stopped it....I ended up being 200ish over in calories BUT all nutrients were in range expect for sugar it was over by 15 grams. I just need to figure out a strategy when I get home. I guess right now I just need to hit the water.
This morning I had a 4 mile tempo run. Whew is was a tough one this morning. I felt that bleacher work out in my quads with every stride. My breathing was a little off too. My tempo run pace should be 10:15-10:30. My average pace throughout the run was 10:27. The air was thick this morning. We are going back up into the 90s this week......bye bye wonderful weather. This actually is a good thing because I have 2 races coming up at the end of June and July 4th. I need to get acclimated to the heat and humidity again. I am looking forward to a 30 minute easy run tomorrow!

After work is my biggest snacky/unhealthy choices time too. I notice when I eat a better lunch or bring snacks I'm not scarfing whatever I can as soon as I walk in the door. Some times if I work late I go too long without eating and turn into a ravenous beast when I get home!

When I get home is I think is my worst time too. Comfort zone = comfor food for me... It is a work in progress for me...
I bet your legs were feeling your bleacher workout... But you still did your run... woo hoo...
