View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day

Yesterday was a good day overall. It was a busy and stressful day at work BUT the great thing is that I did not have the urge to throw food in my mouth. Someone brought in all this candy. I did eat one roll of smarties but that was it, I didn't even want anymore. I was so satified with the healthy lunch and snack that I brought. I ended up with 1,781 calories, a little high but a good start. Nutritients were good expect for too many carbs.

Today is also busy at work but I am making sure that I carve out a little time for CK. The smarties are still there but I am not really interested in them!

This morning was a tempo run day. It was a tough one. I did not sleep well last night at all. When I started my 2 mile warm up run this morning, my legs felt so heavy. I did 3x1 mile at half marathon pace. The first 1 mile set was yucky. I did right at 10:40 pace but I stuggled. The second 2 sets were much better. The last set was at a 10:23 pace.....at least I got better.

Tonight is the the last of the information nights for the Training Team. I enjoy going and tryto make the new runners feel good about their new goals.

This weekend I have to run a 5K. Since I am not in the shape I was in the fall, my goal it to hit just under 31:00. Right now I am a little worried. I hope I will feel better toward the end of the week since I am eating better and hopefully I will get better sleep.

So I was thinking we should do the Nike Women's SF marathon together in Oct! At the end a fireman dressed in a tuxedo gives you a Tiffany's bracelet. How's that for incentive? :)

Lack of sleep really messes us up.... I hope you got some rest last night and the week goes better for you.
I know you will meet your 5k goal... Once you get out there with the excitement you will rock it!!!!

Doing a tempo run when you are exhausted is brutal - great job toughing it out and seeing it through. :y:

On the 5k take whatever you have that day and go with it. You will do great I have no doubt!
