Sunday, Jul 15 2007 - living in the moment

View WILLLOSEIT's food & exercise for this day

i don't look back
i try not to dwell
on the mistakes
i have made
the pain i have felt
the tears i have shed

i don't look back
and try to change what i can't
wish things were different
doubt every choice i made
wonder how things could have been

i live in the moment
it's all i can do
it's what i can control
it is where i make the choices
it is all that matters
right now

i live in the moment
and dream of what comes next
and hope that what i do
brings me the moments
that will make me happy
and bring me home

one day,
in the moment
i will be able to reflect back
on this moment
on this past
and know
i did what i had to do
the broken glass
now a mosiac
the bitter words
now beautiful prose
the missing pieces
the puzzle complete
i am finally
in my moment
and I live

note: the picture is a moment from this weekend; ralph and i sitting in carrabba's friday evening. i am not sure what my words mean today. i think i do, but i'll let everyone decide for themselves. it is just what came out of my head. happy sunday.

:hi: Grace, Love the picture. :) Love the poem too. I think I understand what you're saying in the poem. It actually describes my life pretty much, I think. Sometimes we want to go back and change things, have regrets, but you can't. I can only change today, this day can be different. And it can still be a beautiful life. As far as the past, well, "Sit Happens" Thanks for the smile this morning. Have a great Monday.

:hi: Love the picture. You look so Happy! I think what it means is that you can't change the past so why try. It's about the now that's important. I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by to say hi, even if I didn't have a blog up yet. You definitely don't need a new one any time you want to stop I appreciate it!

Grace,
Your weight loss is very obvious in the picture. Your shoulders are so much more narrow Your face is has more contour.
Love to see a loving couple.

Hi Grace,
Love your picture. I think that living in the moment and instead of the past is a great lesson for us all.

:hi: Grace~ If I wrote the above poem, I would be coming from a space of finding healing as I come into my life and being in a more full and real and present way  (which, BTW, I am indeed doing =D!). . . . But, that is just from my space, and it is your space that really counts here! And so, I will trust the tone of your poem and rest assured that you are getting comfy with your wholeness in both yourself and your life ! Love ya tons, Kristen

I think Grace, they mean you have a wonderful loving husband and both of you are happy.

That is what dreams are made of when they arrive on earth.

Love ya
