in a good place
that's where i am
for the most part
despite a stumble
despite a moment
of weakness
that somehow
i've survived
in a reflective mood
that's how i feel
on a rainy monday
after my own
personal storm
drenched me with fear
just a day or so ago
and i am still standing
standing tall
i face this new week
eager to do my best
buoyed by the spirits
of this community
that lifted me so high
and wrapped its
healing arms around me
to pick me up
when i might have
stayed on the ground
i thank you
i face the next challenge
with renewed resolve
and faith
in the power
that is in me
but a power
that doubles
when shoulders are
offered freely
and we lean
on each other
to give
strength in numbers
new meaning
i am truly blessed
by many things
i know that
and must never
forget that
despite the moments
i hate
and the tears i shed
every now and then
they are the parts
of a whole
that make me, me
unique,
benevolent,
imperfect, me
just like you
my friends,
just like you
i am alive
in this moment
feeling thankful
for all i have
and all i am
and for all
the courage
i feel inside me
to face
a million tomorrows
and if another
rainy day
should come my way
i am ready to weather
that storm
i know i am
reflections
on a rainy day
often shed light
on the darkest moments
to remind us
that life is worth living
that all that matters
is inside us
that we can always go on
and tomorrow will come
and the sun
will shine
once again
my sun
is already shining
again
that's where i am

Beautifiul, Grace! I hope your day has been good....Mine has. I appreciate your comments on my blog. It was just a day and I'm moving on. I know exactly what caused it all and you know, I do the best I can. Can't say that I will ever be perfect....can't really say that I want to be....what fun would that be!?
