hello lovely ladies!
i am still feeling sort of euphoric and i intend to stay this way. i haven't gone outside yet, but apparently it is just gorgeous out. i want to eat breakfast, get dressed and go have my nails done before noon. then we have to leave for long island by 1:30 pm. my gf's parents car is in the shop and we have to pick them up. to make matters worse we have to pick up her nephew too. he had football practice and is home while his parents are away in ogunquit (i am jealous) maine. this is all not that important, except for the cumulative effect on what time we have to leave to go to a bbq at 4:00 pm. i really don't mind, but i think ralph would rather lounge around here until 3 or so before heading out. well tough it up honey, we're leaving when i say we are leaving...
so this will be my last blog until sometime on tueday. i don't think my gf has internet access at her vacation home. i downloaded the ck desktop free trial and will use that to log my food for the next few days. i will try to do some blogging, but i am not sure if i will time. i am going to enjoy the down time hanging with some old friends (and no boys...lol).
i don't have any pearls of wisdom today. just a continued wish for much success and happiness for everyone. hopefully the splendor (OK perhaps beauty is a better word) of the catskill mountains will inspire me to write something wonderful. if not, i'll shoot for funny and leave it at that...arrivederci i miei amici. i am not sure if that's a proper italian goodbye, but it's the best i can offer and ties to my photo.
the photo: as some of you know i am putting together a photo book for my parents 60th anniversary. they spent many years writing letters to each other before and during world war ll. many of the letters are in italian, but i can pick up enough to know they were desperately in love and wanted to be together. i took these letters and spread them across my mother's wedding dress and then photographed the display from varying angles. many of the pictures came out lovely and i will use several of them in the book to help share and at the same time preserve the story of my parents love.. i share one of them with you today.

Hi Grace, thanks for your note. I have been gone, just seems like each day some other problem comes up that needs fixing, or I want to spend more time with my young one. Older one doesn't really want to hang with me anymore! I've managed to lose a couple more pounds in spite of the fact that I have not been logging in. But I need to get back here and motivated again because I know I have not been eating well. It's just been so hot I think I've been sweating out the pounds! Have a good time and hope to keep better in touch from now one. Thanks for checking on me. Teresa
