there's a place i go to
when i feel very sad
when my days are harried
and my sleep is bad

a place of comfort
and life long past
where my smile is always
and my memories hold fast

beyond my dreams
and away from the abyss
a place of solitude
a place of bliss

a haunting place
but peaceful just the same
laughter is the thunder
sweetness is the rain

i find myself there
adrift on a cloud
where i face my fears
and shout them out loud

i will not give up
lord, i am giving in every way
to fight all the demons
that confront me every day

i look for the love
for the strength deep in side
for the energy to carry me
for my spirit, for my pride

the power is stronger
in this place where i go
my doubts are forbidden
my fears can not grow

so i go there often
to dig for the gold
to lift what is my burden
to embrace, to be bold

to bury my anger
and hold my head up high
to soar like an eagle
and know i can fly

there's a place i go
where i am at my best
where fears don't plaque me
where angers lay at rest

it is here where grace
is a gift with a bow
it is here where her garden
finds her flowers to grow

beyond her dreams
and deep in her heart
is the place she is born
where her doubts live not

so going there often
is how she gets by
and the struggles she faces
sees the look in her eyes

that tells them stand back now
she is all that and more
a woman of courage
and worth fighting for

so look for this place
we all have inside
for each day is worth living
not a place to hide

and go there when needed
to rest and breath deep
the air of confidence
the joy you will keep
