View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day
Yesterday was a great day, green check, motivation high and this morning the scale showed a 2 pound loss (I know it will go up and down throughout the week). I have decided that I need to go back to what has worked for me in the past.
For me it is a daily weigh in. I tried the once a week....even once every 3 weeks.....this does not work for me. It allows me to rationalize that I can pop things into my mouth without thinking about it. The daily weight changes do not bother me as I only document my weight once a week. I think the daily weigh in is like blogging and logging food. It is a reminder of what my goals for the day should be. Yesterday I logged before I ate and got that green check. Today I am working on 3 green checks in a row!
The only thing I am not happy about is my throat is a little sore this morning and my nose is starting to run again. I do NOTt want to get sick again. I am hoping for just allegies and have taken medicine.
I hope everyone has a great day.

I do the daily scale thing too so I totally get it. Without it I lose focus - the key is to not let it ruin your day and know your body well enough to tell the difference between real and fake weight fluctuations.

That is interesting about weighing in everyday. I never tried it because I was so steeped in WW for so long and they always said to only weight yourself once a week. I can see how that might motivate you to stick to your goals for the day, or at least give you a reminder of what you are doing. I am finding out that whatever works for you is what you should do. Its not about rules, but about what works! Congrats!

AIRBORNE! Or vitamin c! Lots of good sleep, too! Hope it's just allergies.

I too used to struggle with how often to weigh, and I too weigh almost daily. Seeing the numbers change (or not) motivates me to keep striving for my goals by practicing healthy habits throughout my day. I log only once per week, though.
Here's to your 3rd green check in a row, woohoo!

I am a believer in your daily-weighing philosophy. I've stopped expecting any sort of material change... but doing it every day is a reminder of whether or not I'm following through on my commitment to be good to myself.
Oh... don't get sick again, do you hear me?!?!?!?!?
