why me? i often
hear myself say
why does my size
have to be this way
why can't i be
like the skinny ones
wearing a size 2 with
a waist like my thumb?
able to wear
those 4 inch heels
and go through the day
while skipping 2 meals?
oh and lets not forget
when they're feeling blue
to the chocoalte they say
hmm one m&m or two?
oh please forgive my
silly jealous rage
it's a moment of madness
a temporary phase
when i just can't take
their blind eye's view
a perfect little world
no me and no you
a polka-dot bikini
a skirt skin tight
a 32 a chest
it's just not right
into my tankini
once again i will squeeze
it doesn't look so bad
rather fetching, oh please
it's 10 pounds of sausage
in a 5 pound bag
it's a belly that wobbles
and boobs that sag
at least for today
that's the truth i share
it's a work in progress
and i really do care
how i look
and what people see
so i do my best
and dress carefree
because i know someday
i'll wear a smaller size
i believe in the effort
with my eye on the prize
no not a size 2
that's not in my genes
petite is for peas
and pubescent teens
no i will be happy
to shop off the racks
in normal stores
like bloomies or sacs
and watch all the skinny girls
who'll still think I am fat
but i'll know the truth
and i will never go back
so thin, i think never
it's not in the cards
but thinner, for sure
and so i work very hard
i'll eat my fruit
and veggies galore
i like them i do
and often want more
but one m&m
that seems so extreme
i am nourished and focused
even with a little ice cream
and many other treats
from time to time
though never a size 2
and that is just fine!

Thankyou for making me smile you are very clever with words and they came from your heart it won,t be easy but you will get there and we aren,t all made to be size two we have different sizes here in australia a perfect ten is what i always wanted to be but happy and healthy and close enough is now good enough for me you have a happy marriage and that is a big thing get healthy and be content with the size that is Goodluck i will be watching your progress ck support is amazing.

You made me think of a woman I worked with that was a size 0. She NEVER ate....had coffee all day and would take it outside and smoke. She looked like a cadaver, especially when she smiled.
:teeth2: The funny part is when I ran into her one Saturday in the supermarket and her carriage was literally piled high with groceries (she's a single woman) and I was so shocked I asked her what she was doing with all that food.

The commercials: "I was a size 1O and now I am a OO".....the only place I have anything that looks like OO is my (_i_). I am with you Grace...all I want is to be able to shop in the regular clothing Dept.
