we are trying to catch up with life after a hectic weekend of tears and happiness. i needed 2 days to recover mainly because my left ankle was killing me. i broke my ankle about 14 years ago and it has given me trouble ever since. it was a very bad break that required 2 surgeries, 3 months in a cast and 6 months of physical therapy. it has never been the same. it swells all the time, especially when it's hot and humid. and as i have gotten older it gets more stiff and painful, especially w...

well my niece's wedding weekend is upon us. i am writing this entry at 1:23 am because today is going to be a busy day. i have my hair appointment (and another one tomorrow) at 10:30 am, followed by manicure and pedicure at 12:00 pm. then i have to do a little grocery shopping (i know i should have done that today) and pick up a few things at the cleaners. my dress for the wedding for one thing and a special gift which i will tell you about shortly. hopefully i will be home by 3:30 pm just e...a wedding day

this weekend
and i am happy
for her
but i could be happier
my parents
won't be there
it's too hard
for my dad
and my mom
she's barely aware
so it makes
me sad
that they are missing
