i hate being overweight
more than anything,
absolutely anything,
in this world.
more than ignorance
intolerance,
bigotry,
and hate.

but my weight
forces me to hate

Hi Everyone,

It seems I am better at blogging than losing weight. I joined CK 2 years ago and basically I am still the same weight. Some of my life has changed, some of the people in my life have changed and my weight has fluctuated a couple of times, but still here I am back at the starting line.

So much to say, too much time has passed

I have been away from Calorie King for over 6 months. So much has changed in my life and on this site. Where to begin...

I think I will begin with the hard part. I lost my mom on January 28th, 2009. Prior to her passing, she spent 98 days in the hospital, mostly in intensive care, intubated and on a respirator to fight the complications of COPD, a large pneumonia and various other infections that made it impossible for her to breath on her own. mary's passing

i know it's been awhile since you heard from me.

marianne and cathy's mom passed away on september 28, 2008. it was a short, heart wrenching battle with liver cancer. the prognosis had never been good, but it was still a shock to us all. mary traveled with us, enjoyed girls' nights at the theatre or movies and spent hours with us just sipping wine and shooting the breeze. she was ever present in our lifes and like a mom to me. the girls gave me the privilege to eulogize mary. i share ...
