Well,
I thought it was about time to check in on my blog. I have been really frustrated with myself the past few months because I haven't lost any weight since coming back to CK.
I know why. I eat too much. I am having a hard time with the calorie reduction thing and I will be really good for 2 weeks, lose a couple pounds, then go back to eating the same amount of calories as before and gain back the 2 pounds. Also I am not always honest with myself... I fiddle with the numbers ...

Yesterday I was having a conversation with the other women in my salsa troupe - one of them is taking a class right now on "Obesity and Economics" - she was talking about how fascinating it is to learn about the challenges of regulating the food industry when on one side the government needs to save money on its health care spending but on the other doesn't want to restrict economic growth in the food industry.

This return to CK is up and down for me.... both in terms of weight and motivation.
When I first got back (in July) I wouldn't even step on the scale I was so scared of the number... I didn't want to admit how much I had gained. I am over that and am making myself get on the scale once a week, sometimes twice.
My motivation has waxed and waned... right now it is pretty high with the challenge I am running.
Unfortunately I haven't lost any weight and have actually put on a couple ...

My life is in between seasons right now and it feels good to have a little break.
Within the next few weeks I will be back to a fairly structured/scheduled week of activities and I made a decision yesterday to cut one of those activities for a while and re-prioritize.
In terms of physical activity these are my goals:
Monday: REST
Tuesday: Yoga, Soccer
Wednesday: Swimming
Thursday: REST
Friday: Weights, Salsa
Saturday: 10k run
Sunday: Soccer

Today is a serious check-in.
My life has been taken hostage the last month with planning a party (that happened on the weekend) and preparing for my salsa performance which is happening this coming weekend. I have been so busy organizing and stressing out over these things that I haven't had any time to dedicate to logging my calories and getting planned exercise in.
