So, I've always heard that it takes 3 consistent weeks of doing something to make it start to become a habit. I had returned to CK, was highly motivated. Lost some pounds fast, and then in the middle of my third week I had a trip out of the country for a wedding. I was excited to go to Aruba, but nervous because I knew that I would not be able to stay on track. They say that it takes 3 weeks of repetition for something to become a habit. Over the past year I've found myself flirting with weight loss. I'll do a bit here or there: watch my food intake for a week, work out 3 times in a week, or both. Yet, time and time again, I never have the discipline to pull through and I end up failing. As I find myself beginning to embark on a nice mini vacation I'm reflecting on what I have done the past week and a half. My energy levels have shot up through the roof. I'm excited to be active again in whatever capacity that is available. I'm staying away from most temptations and really watching the calories that I'm putting into my body.Tuesday, June 28th 2011
It's amazing, I've been back on my journey for a week and a day. Yet a light switch has turned on and I couldn't be happier. Last week I commented on how I need to find a way to workout. My days are crazy long. bla bla bla. Yes I'm super busy but that was just me finding another way to make excuses.
