I'm going to steal 5 minutes to write in here. Its 9:09am, Will and S are asleep, and my to do list is very long.
It snowed and snowed and snowed last night - it is beautiful out. During our 2:45 feeding, the world was quiet and white.
I had a realization yesterday that brought me some peace of mind. I realized that 80% of the time, I am inside motherhood - meaning, I'm actively living my life with Will and S and happy about it. There are days, though very few, when I slip out of being...

Uh oh. Its 3:48am and Will couldn't be more awake if I'd fed him coffee. He just wolfed down 5 ounces of milk - he should be milk-drunk if nothing else. He is eating so much lately - all day long it seems. Oops - he just spit up about an ounce of that 5. Yum.
He has his 1 month appt tomorrow. Today, I mean.
We got back from Cragun's Resort around 2pm - we had such a great time. We got there around 2 on Friday. Our room had a fire place and adjoined to Mark and Jill's. Jill is in love ...

Will slept from 11pm to 5am. All the way through. Granted - a) he was fussing from 4pm to 11pm non stop, and b) I only slept 'til 4am b/c he's taken to making grunting noises in his sleep which I am unable to sleep through b/c I think its going to develop into a "mom/dad, I need you" noises. Still. My son slept 6 entire hours. At once. In a row. I know I can't count on this but it is a such a relief to know its even poss...

Ugh. I'm so sleepy. Will is up right now (off of his schedule) and I'm dragging.
I did have a busy day, though, which might account for some of my sleepiness - I had my 6 week post partum appointment. All is well. My OB couldn't find my post op notes, which she thinks will have an indication from the OB who performed my c-section whether or not I will have to have c-sections for any more pregnancies. Needless to say, I'm very interested in that.
After that, I flew home and picked up Wi...

I'm stealing a few minutes to write in here. Will is in his car seat next to me, eating and staring at his black and white book. I love watching him look at the book. His awareness of the world is growing daily. He turns very quickly towards our voices now - his eyes move much quicker. He smiles responsively - this makes me so happy. He is also gumming his bottle, which makes me think he is learning that he can explore things with his mouth. I ordered a baby massage book, and can't wait for that...
